Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management systems, announces the release of an update for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. The update ensures the products are fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7.
The updated products correctly install and function under Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7, due to be launched on 22 October 2009. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 were certified Compatible with Windows 7 by Microsoft after successfully completing a series of tests.
Compatibility with Microsoft Windows 7 means fully-functional and stable operation of the security solutions as well as the operating system and its built-in applications. In particular, this applies to situations that require deep integration of the antivirus applications into the operating system to ensure maximum security.
All the advanced technologies built into Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010, such as the new reputation-based services, improved proactive protection and the running of applications in a secure environment, are available to users of Windows 7.
The updated Kaspersky Lab products support new Windows 7 features. For example, they can scan files in newly implemented virtual libraries as well as offer a full set of features in Windows XP Mode, which emulates an earlier version of the operating system.
The update will be available for download from Kaspersky Internet Security page and Kaspersky Anti-Virus page as of 22 October.
